Merc and MF question

Hey, i was wondering, if my merc kills a guy, will my MF count towards that kill? Or will his 0% mf be what is involved when he kills?

EDIT - Ooops, posted in wrong section, if one of you mods could kindly move it to general section I would really appreciate it :)
