final 1.10

Who agrees with me that their should be backpaks in the final version....

like... you have it in a 3x2 invintory space and outcome is a 4x4 container...

so much more usefull... considering the stash is so F'in small

`Insolence` 2003-07-09 10:47 AM

Try a cube.

symnzXx 2003-07-09 11:03 AM

It would have to be bigger than 4x4. What's the point of having another cube?

Senesia 2003-07-09 11:21 AM

I think the inventory = backpack, so making another backpack won't make much sense.

!King_Amazon! 2003-07-09 11:24 AM

You get bags of holding in baldurs gate, which you put in your backpack, which is pretty much the same thing.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Senesia 2003-07-09 11:26 AM

Well, same goes for NWN, you have magic bags (reduces weight), bags, box...

!King_Amazon! 2003-07-09 11:36 AM

They need to add a feature that whenever you kill a monster, if it drops anything, theres a time limit in which you can pick it up and nobody else can. Maybe 10 seconds or so.

0nyx 2003-07-09 11:54 AM

Why not just mule when you get full then you have a whole new set of space again.

!King_Amazon! 2003-07-09 12:26 PM

Muling is agrivating and if you are doing cow runs it's annoying to have to stop.

Medieval Bob 2003-07-09 12:40 PM

Remember they mentioned the stash that the entire account shares? Muling will be easy if they actually do that.

!King_Amazon! 2003-07-09 12:42 PM

Does anyone agree with my idea for the time limit where only the person that killed the monster that drops the items can pick the items up?

Chr0me 2003-07-09 12:46 PM

yea that sounds really good idea...

Senesia 2003-07-09 01:29 PM

No, that means I can't pick up other people's Valor in Cows which I did take part in killing.

They've discussed this many a time, and it's been shut down everytime. The main reason being, leechers, what's stopping them from taking the last hit on a monster? You don't have to do much damage, just good timing and you could take items that you hardly took part in earning.

!King_Amazon! 2003-07-09 01:33 PM

Then make it where whoever dealt th most damage gets the items.

Sorc will be in a sure-win then, then teleport, static until the monsters have 50% left, and orb/nova still do a lot of damage, I don't think other character can top her.

Sadly, they both do diddly shit damage in 1.10. With level 99 in all skills, orb does something like 2,000/shard. Nova supposedly does something like 11,000 each, but is way under that. You'd be better off going Glacial Spike / Lightning, or Blizzard / Charged bolt.

The Necromancer is now the kill machine, seeing that Corpse Explosion now racks up with the players. It basically takes 2 corpses to kill a pack of monsters in a given radius. Even 1 if you Amp damage on it, or lower resist works better for Physical or Fire immune, being CE is 50% Fire and 50% Phys.

Edit:
Not to mention that Nova eats your mana, damn fast. Charged Bolt or Lightning should keep your mana at an ok range.

i like taking other pplz good finds ;)

!King_Amazon! 2003-07-09 01:50 PM

That's exactly why they should implement my idea.

Ok forget it, go with K_A's idea.

Yeah, Orb and Nova don't have much improvement in the patch comparing to other sorc's skills. However, I will still go with Orb if I'm to build a Cold sorc, the Area of Effect is still one of the best.
