Alright, I was reading up on Insolences PvP thread on em, but I kinda just wanna use one for mostly PvM then the occassional PvP.

I figured I should put it in here, since I'm gonna primarily make him PvM, not PvP.

Alright, I just wanted some ideas on what to use? I have been getting a lot of Cruel Stygian Pilums and Winged Harpoons lately from Pindle, so I'm figuring I might as well start one!

I'm thinking about a Cruel Winged Harpoon of Quickness (260's/40) and a Cruel Stygian Pilum of Amplify Damage (285/5% Chance). What other items should I get?

I can eventually afford just about anything, but I'd rather stay away from .08 stuff, so what are my options do you think?

may be a good armor? like 160/whatever good in the market? i haven't been able to keep up in the economy... since don't play no more... ;)

I was actually thinking about a 160/60, but I wasn't sure if I should go with IAS or MAX? They never did answer Insolences IAS importance question...?

well since throw barbs have a quatity thing... so i dunno i'd go for dmg instead

i dont think double throw is affected by ias.. i have no idea, but throw barbs sure do a hell of alot of dmg :D

dmg is good ;) ya because even if it IS affected by IAS it's kinda stupid... oh yay i get to run out of ammo faster so i can die =\ :D

LoL, is there any other input on item selection and why?

A little more help is needed before I lunge into the stick throwing league of D2!

Hmm.. I'd suggest areats face, with shaft, 20% ias gloves, cats eye ammy, a raven, waterwalks,and string.

What if I'm pretty rich (Not that I am, but eventaully I could spring for Elite stuff)?

Should I go for 160/60 IAS with +90 or so life on a low defense armor (Since, I shouldn't be getting hit too much), 120/45 IAS Bone Visage (or any helm for that matter), Highlord's, 8/15 string, C-Grip, Raven, LL/IAS gloves, and Waterwalks?

Is there an IAS cap on Throwing Javs? If so, what is it?

Should I use the IAS armor and MAX helm, or visa-versa? Or just both IAS, or both MAX (If I have the Quickness Mod on Javs)?

Would I rather use Atma's Ammy over Highlord's, or even Cat's Eye, like Adrena suggested?

Cats eye would probly be more usefull for throwing, and why get uber gear for a pvm character? The items I just listed would pwn all the monsters in the game..

Yeah, well, he is going to be mainly PvM, but I still want to enjoy the occassional Duel. So rather than have item switches when I'm in the mood, I might as well jsut use the same setup!

Anyway, the Dueling setup would probably work better for PvM too... LoL!

you can get a 160/60max and use that and try my 160/60 ias and see if you like it more. We will hook this bastard up. 1337 style :D

hm well like renduin i would go for 160/60 max instead of too much IAS, cause u will run out of ammo all the time. i think biggest stack for javs is 80. And if u ever played a high ias Bowzone u know how fast the ammo is gone...
Ok sure, if u can afford it u can use another set of cruel javs on your weapon switch to double your ammo...
Oh and i would also try wartraveller instead of waterwalk, might be a greater damage bonus.

ya but even doubled ammo won't do... i go through about 500-700 arrows each cow game... =\

I don't think I'll be going quite as fast as 7 fps, but you never know. Also, hopefully, the board will be cleared out by other characters before the second set of ammo runs out! ;)

So, should I use 120/45 IAS BV and 160/60 MAX low def armor with 90+ life?

id get faster hit recovery too, i think ima make a hybrid tp barb, totally unstoppable zon ownage, along with sorcs necs paladins and druids ^^.. u could throw 2 spears, tp behind them as they run towards u, they turn around tp back ww them, boom all mana back, start over :D
