My res are 80 75 85 75

and on my res 80 75 and 75 are gold but the 85 res is plain gray why is this ????? if somoen can explain how res works plz

The 85 is gray because it can still go higher. You have something to increase max resist for whatever you resist 85.

and after 75% it is just extra
the only resistances above 75% that matter are lightning and fire
cold can be peirced (cold mastery)
and poison doesnt get toned down alot by poison resist
(you need psn length reduction)

and isnt 95% that you start absorbing?

It is capped at 95%, I'm pretty sure after that nothing happens.

Good luck geeting 95 all res and still having competitive equipment tho... I had a buddy that ber'd his guardian angel...

Well, with a Pally, if he uses Veil and HoZ, that +100 resistances right there. With one Constricting ring, boom! Max ALL resistances. And now he even has everything he can socket however he likes. I'm sure there are other ways too, but that is pretty good too, and still competitive!

after 95% resistance is a waste for fire/lit resists
have 95% cold resist doesnt mean anything at all
and poison resist doesnt matter as much as it should
thats why alot of vindicators use Lo runes (5% max lit res)

ok thanks ..
