Theory on the earthquake of today

Not sure how many of you have heard about it, but it was a 4.5 and it happened on Chicago. I looked at the dates and I noticed something. 1881, 1912, 1972, 2004

31, 60, 32

So I think that this is on a chain of events that adds 1 to the chain

i.e. 31, 60, 32, 61, 33, etc.

So, if I'm right, the next earthquake up here will be in 2065..

not sure many of you care, but I thought it was interesting.

!King_Amazon! 2004-06-28 07:24 PM

That is a really really really stupid coincidence.

Jamesadin 2004-06-28 07:25 PM

Chicago...strange place for an earthquake. o_O

timmay1113 2004-06-28 07:27 PM

lol that is a pretty.... not so good theory, but Chicago is indeed a strange place for an earthquake. I never knew that they had ever had one there.

KagomJack 2004-06-28 07:32 PM

meh, it may be a bullshit theory, but I thought I'd try something.

Demosthenes 2004-06-28 07:53 PM

I don't think 4 earthquakes themselves are substantial enough evidence to pull a theory out like that.

KagomJack 2004-06-28 07:55 PM

yeah, I know...but I'm bored :/

Sovereign 2004-06-28 07:58 PM

There was an earthquake here? I didn't feel anything.... Of course, at the time it felt like I was in a dream word of mystical proportions.

Slim 2004-06-28 07:58 PM

Some idiot here said she felt it, and we're like 200 miles from Chicago.

Demosthenes 2004-06-28 07:58 PM

Find something productive to do ... like read chapter 1 in my C tutorial and make a comment because, other than insolence, I don't think anyone has read it :/

KagomJack 2004-06-28 08:00 PM

I've got a good book to write...I'm working on it tomorrow...currently flirting with someone right now.

Sovereign 2004-06-28 08:10 PM

My sister woke up and started talking about some ground shaking shit, then something about the cat not causing it.

KagomJack 2004-06-28 08:17 PM

lol

someone asked me if I felt it...i just said "At 1 in the fucking morning? Shit, I was asleep!"

Thanatos 2004-06-28 09:21 PM

In Soviet Russia, road forks you!

-Spector- 2004-06-28 09:35 PM

i live about an hour and a half from chicago :-O

Shining Knights 2004-06-28 09:40 PM

It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose.

!King_Amazon! 2004-06-28 10:12 PM

And you aren't?

Go carve pentagrams into your arms.

symnzXx 2004-06-28 10:15 PM

rofl k_a. shinto sucks, and he needs to be stopped.

earthquakes suck, we had a small one out here a little while back. just south of the ohio border.

WetWired 2004-06-29 07:01 AM

I read it, but I have nothing to say.

!King_Amazon! 2004-06-29 09:34 AM

Obviously you do, you just replied.

Medieval Bob 2004-06-29 09:40 AM

Sorry to be off-topic, but that's so funny, I have to ask. I can't remember where that's from... So... Where?

Medieval Bob 2004-06-29 09:41 AM

Or they could be getting closer together...

31 60 32 59 33 58

Or they could be alternating 60 with 1 and doing random numbers in the 30's.

31 60 32 1 37 60 34 1

Or they could be not related at all.

Just thought I'd throw in some other theories.

Actually, I didn't.

Slim 2004-06-29 10:04 AM

It's from the Simpsons, Bob.

Medieval Bob 2004-06-29 10:27 AM

Who says it? Episode number? Bleh... I still can't picture who said it. I can hear the voice tho...

Penny_Bags 2004-06-29 01:33 PM

Three numbers isn't nearly enough to say anything reasonable, even if the numbers are 1,2,3.

I am quite adept at throwing together crazy theories. On my first plane flight after 9/11 I was paranoid as fuck, I was in 8th grade I believe at the time. I heard about all kinds of coincidences about 9/11 and the date and the flight numbers and stuff like that. I eventually formulated enough conspiracy theory to as why my flight was going down to fill about 3 pages. I saw some middle easterener guys on the plane and I got really scared, but seeing as I am here, nothing bad happened.

Well, arithmetics can be applied to just about any situation like this, it's just a matter of how complicated you want to make the number sequence.

Err.

What?

I thought this was the add-on game!

timmay1113 2004-06-29 05:31 PM

Only in your mind

Penny_Bags 2004-06-29 06:49 PM

Note to self, never write a lot, it won't be commented on. Time to go play baseball, earthquakes are retarded.
