They are far from uncommon...

ya like whats the biggest damage weapon in classic like 300? haha i dunno but i know they all suck compared to LOD...go LOD spend the 15 bucks to buy the expansion

300 = Rare Lance usually. I remember the OLD days when all you saw were Lance Barbs.

But then, WW didn't factor in Weapon Speed in those days, and no one could pack enough punch to require a barb using a shield.

hey guys....i found last night a axe i've never seen before......ettin axe with 5 sockets in it which has these stats

can not be frozen
220+ damage
20% increased speed
and 2 other things i forgot ..... is this good?.... sorry for the off subject and should i waste my ed jewels on it....

He seems to be talking about the 'Rune Master' Ettin Axe, but it has no integral IAS, meaning there's likely a Shael rune in it.

its a unique so a rune word wouldn't work and its damage is 220+ one hand damage i think......i'll take a screen shot tonight

If your really rich, and I mean really go get 5 ohms and stick em in there. That's 300% ED +220-270% ED= 520%-570%ED.

Otherwise Sell it for something, um I dunno, for your wife???

50% * 5 Ohms = 250% mac.

5 socket ETH Rune Master full of Ohms = 564 max dmg

Perfect 400% EBOTD Zerker = 530, PLUS all it's other leet mods.

true but the runemaster would do better if u hav a charger since it has the CBF mod

Most people would rather use a Raven Frost for the Dex, Cold Absorb, CBF, and Attack Rating. I just fail to see where it's anything better than a EBOTD Zerker.

all im saying is that an eth rune master soc wif zod/4xohm would do better for a charger since wif the cbf mod on it , u can wear angelic ammy+rings for huge ar bonus

zod +4*40/15ias and initial 270 ed on an eth rune master > any 1 handed ebotd zerker

But on a charger, AR isn't as important. Just charge-lock 'em. ;)

Let's add it up:

Perfect 270% Eth Rune Master (Zod, 4x 40/15 ias) would be at 524 max dmg with 60% ias. Ettin Axe is a base 10 Weapon, so you'd need 10 more IAS from somewhere to hit 4fpa Zeal with lvl 20 Fanat

Perfect 400% EBOTD Zerker hits 530 max dmg, has 60% ias, requires 32 less STR, adds +30 all stats, and the -25% target DEF. Base 0 weapon, so you need no IAS for the 4fpa Zeal.


I fail to see how the Rune Master beats the EBOTD. The -25% target def adds to be roughly the same (vs. a high def character) as another Angelic Ring (assuming ~lvl 90), and wearing the Raven Frost for CBF gives a good dex mod, and a moderate amount to AR.

That's my opinion on it. ^_^
