I pay attention if I can understand them. The majority of the genre of music I listen to (Eurobeat) is produced in Italy or Japan, and much of it I don't think the lyrics are supposed to make much sense. For the songs which I choose to learn the Para Para (esentially Japanese line dancing) routine, I tend to pay closer attention to the lyrics; the more I feel the song, the better I remember the actions that go with each part, and the more rewarding the performance of the routine is.

I love music that makes you think, tool and korn rock they play great music and back it up with lyrics that make you think, music is great but if i dont feel the lyrics then it doesnt have a lasting effect. it the best when you hear a song and can sing along with it, but actually feel what your singing. i love the tingly feeling u get that you just cant explain, thats when you know u like a song alot.

Definitely pink floyd, but not so much zeppelin, led zeppelin is really pretty straight forward.... but as people say, you need to be high to understand pink floyd. Or maybe that wasn't pink floyd, ahh whatever. |
I think I identify more with the emotions/mood of a song than with the actual lyrics. Like I said, Soulfly tends to be very basic with their lyrics, and somewhat repetitive, but there's nothing I like better.
