Actually I had no idea that's what happened to your skin when you smoke.
How would I? I never smoked a single cigarette in my days. Nor have I done any drugs or alcohol. And I dont hang around such people. So I wouldnt really know. |

I do go to a gym, but it's a private gym. Only people in this apartment complex can get in. And they're not allowed to smoke in there.
Plus the times when I go is always after midnight so there is very rarely anyone there. No I do not take an Aerobics class in black tights, idiot. |

Wow, all that shit happened to you when you tried cold turkey! The worst I had was coughing up the nastiest shit ever, an occassional irritation, and periods of having extreme problems concentrating on work. But I guess that's why I'm still trying to quit and its been over a year.
Oh and BTW, DFD, smoking does NOT make your face get oily. It was joke. |

Well, I'm down to like a pack and a half normally to the ocassional 3 pack max a week. Pack and a half a week when I'm in school and just doing my normal thing. 3 packs when my high school buddies come to visit, or when there is a break in between terms, because during those times, I literally drink like 20 beers a day on average. :( Well, I first started out trying to quit by not smoking the entire ciggarette everytime I lit up. After a while it got to the point where I said, "What the fuck am I doing? Why not just smoke half as much, but the whole thing and cut my intake by half instead of spending the same amount of money and getting less out of it." So, I started doing that. Then after doing the same thing to the cut back amount a few more times, it got to the point I'm at now. Only problem, the next step is basically quitting, and thats a little extreme at this point. :( Also, I had to cut back in my drinking as well, because that is a huge cig killer during those times. I still drink a good amount, especially on the weekends, but it's gotten to the point where I rarely smoke unless I'm drinking. :) The hardest step is yet to come though. :( Good luck with yours, Doofus is definitely right! |
hmm so on adverage your smoking 25% of a smoke every time u feel a need for one? then u save the wrest until u need some more again? see thats what i been doing too...

Well, kinda.
I know my last explanation wasn't going to very understandable, so I'll attempt it again. I started by only smoking half my ciggarette, then crushing the rest (you appear to save your for later, I just trash it). Then I realized, damn, I should be smarter about this and try to conserve money, so I'll try this: Instead of smoking only half then trashing it, I'll smoke the whole ciggarette, but only smoke half as much as I was. That way, I'm still smoking as much I was previously, but this time more at a time, but less amounts of time (thats the part that is hard to word, I hope that is better). So, basically I cut back to half my ciggarette intake, but didn't do it out of no where, I had that period where I was technically cutting back, but still smoking as often as before. I did that process a few more times over the course of about a year to get to where I'm presently at now. |
