Try it! its possible to get boots you would never want to exchange with anything ;)

yes, BUT the qlvl i believe goes down so the item can't get better pre/suffixs, like quickness/+max dmg/kings/etc.

leech gloves are better for BvB( barb v barb)
they can get 10%cb/20life/6%ll/15dex/9str at best

For a good crafted Amulet use:-

Blue Amulet, Blue Jewel, Perfect Emerald and a Thul Rune (10)

This can give you a chance to get a really good Amulet , fixed stat would be a % to Block,
So you could get.

15% chance to block
+ to Skill (for one char type)
% Resistance
Str , Dex , Life , Mana
% Leech

You can do this same recipe with a Perfect Sapphire but I can't remember what the fixed stat is. it could be, chance of open wounds or an increased damage mod.

Other crafted items don't give too spectacular results, but there is a chance you could make a sufficient armour.
