is it worth it?

I may be acquiring one today through a mutual trade of some stereo equipment and I will be getting money along with it.. I just wanna know if anyone has even heard of these, or messed around with one.

It's the 120gig model, and looks pretty sweet. It's brand new, but I am totally unfamiliar with the little Microsoft project.

A friend of mine has one and he seems pretty satisfied with it.

I bought my friends Zune off of her for $120. I like it. There's Night at the Museum on it, as well as a bunch of games. And I still have a shitton of room on it.

Yeah I'm getting it still this weekend sometime when I have a chance to pull all of my stereo stuff out of my car. I'm excited I'm definately putting like 2-3 good ass movies onto it.

With a Zune, do you directly put music on it or is there an app like itunes?

I wouldn't know, my first mp3 player was an Ipod shuffle, and after that I got

a 30 gig 5th gen video. Still haven't been able to fill it up with movies and

music.

I'm almost positive the Zune uses all WiFi for file transfers, and even when you wwant to play it on your car, it just transmits a signal to your radio and you tune it to a specified radio station to listen directly from your Zune.

Well I finally finished with my end of the trade and have had this Zune all day. All I can say is that the screen and resolution are a great combination and the picture quailty is amazing. I've been installing software for it forever now, but it's almost completed. I'm happy to say that I can stuff 30,000 songs onto this, which will never happen, but if it were to I would be prepared.

I'll toss up some info on it once i'm more familiar with this little device, but as for now i'm just impressed by the glossy-ness of the screen and the easy navigation through the menus.

Ipods are so over-rated.

I'm quickly learning to love this damn Zune. It took about an hour to download and install the software from Zune's website, and syncing really didn't take long at all. I'm happy with this acquisition overall. The wi-fi ability of the Zune is fun to mess with as well, I wish I knew someon else with one as you can openly share music with somebody that also has one.

Yeah, I'm the only one I know in person who owns a Zune. :( Everyone has an iPod around here.

I agree though, they really are overated. They are only so highly rated because everyone fucking has one, there really has been no legitimate competitor.. that I can even think of.
