Gonna be doing the same thing i've done the last few elections. Run the tv in the backround and look at it when something is loading or lagging.

I'll be at class tonight so I won't get to hear what the outcome looks like.. lame.

Well I did a few calculations, and we will probably know who wins tommorow maybe close to midnight. If it's announced by that time that Obama won Pennsylvania and any other of the Eastern Coast states like Florida for example, McCain ultimately lost.

!King_Amazon!
2008-11-04, 08:40 AM
Pretty much. There are basically like 10 states up for grabs, and if Obama wins any of them, he wins. McCain doesn't have a chance in hell.

I remember last election there was a broadcast that showed who had x amount of votes, and what number of x this canidate had. What was that, and will it be on today?

Obama has two of the three big money states already, and if along with those he snags Florida then he will win.

WHY DO YOU LET HER DO THIS?

You're smart enough to debate some sense into her, Jess.

I'll be happy once it's over and hopefully Obama wins the nomination with no issues.

I know the RNC/GOP are going to pull everything out of their ass/hats (head up their asses) if it doesn't go right for them, expect lots of lawsuits and controversy.

Did anyone notice on this website that they mistaked Kerry for McCain in the first paragraph?

I don't know why, but this is more exciting than the English elections.

Anyway, I think it's official that McCain has Kentucky and Obama has Vermont.

For those who can't get things at work, or can get things but badly, try:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/us_elections_2008/7697829.stm

I doubt you'll be able to get the Live video feed, but the live text is good.

It's not "official." It's projected to be that way. At the time of this post, 16% of Kentucky precincts are reporting and 0% of Vermont precincts are reporting. They're essentially saying "we think McCain will win in Kentucky because our math shows he has enough of a lead right now for the rest of the votes not to change the outcome."

"CNN analysts will make all projections for CNN broadcasts. When CNN's analysts project a winner in a race, whether it is based upon data from EMR or from the CNN computations, it means that when all the votes are counted, CNN projects that the candidate will win the race. A projection is as close to statistical certainty as possible, but that does not mean that a mistake cannot happen; rather, it means that every precaution has been taken to see that a mistake is not made. CNN will not "declare" someone a winner because that declaration is up to election officials. CNN will make projections based on our best estimate of how CNN expects an election to turn out."

From CNN, anyway.
