I went to one last night for the first time and it was pretty nuts. I was drunk so i really dont remember everything that went down, but i was wondering if you guys think that it is a cool place to go or a terrible idea.

Thats what i thought, but the club we went to last night was actually a decent place, sorta like the club in the movie Striptease. It had valet parking, red carpet entrance, nice bouncers and actually pretty hot females. I think stripping for money is not a great thing, but the way this place was set up, made me feel alittle different about the whole situation.

It depends entirely on the bar you go to and how they run it, from what I gather. I've only been to one, and that was for a friend's Bachelor Party. The strip joint was alright, but watching him flop drunkenly on the 7-11 floor and us getting kicked out because of it was even better.

I went to a strip club a couple of times and both were pretty weird. The first was in Germany with a few Americans I met and some friends I travelled with and we went at about 3am and it was getting close to closing. I sat at the bar drinking white russians with a (female) friend and watching really awful quality porn while another friend of mine was supposedly propositioned for sex in the private booth. Mostly I just sat and hung out with my friends while some of my less inhibited buddies wasted their money on girls who were probably ripping them off.

The other time I went was with a big group of friends that I have who are all lesbians. We went because one of the friends was a stripper at another club and apparently knew some of the girls and it was pretty funny but kind of weird. I couldn't really take it seriously (a lot of laughing) and it was pretty sleazy with a lot of really strange people attending. I pretty much just sat in my chair (which happened to be in-line with the catwalk) and tried to talk to my friends. It was pretty weird to just see people stripping in front of you and it all looks kind of uncomfortable. Couple that with watching a girl get a lap dance paid for by her friend and performed by someone she knew. Pretty weird night but it was a lot of fun.

Overall my experiences have led me to the opinion that going to a strip club is definitely not "cool". In my opinion it is not "worth it" but it can be fun with the right people.

I've been to a strip club twice. I've only spent 70~ dollars on dances.

My friend has been there at least 10 times. His total for one night aloen was 1,000.

Perfect summary in my opinion. It's just a different atmosphere to hang out in with friends to me, if you're in the mood for boobs I suppose. :p

Agreed. Birthday and batchelor parties are fun if you get the guest of honor up on the stage to get spanked, beaten, or generally smacked around by the girls. It's also a plus if it's a fully-nude joint. Ultimately, though, it's just a waste of $1 bills (or more if you're paying for extra attention). Strip clubs are not "cool."

Now that I think of it, they don't "sell" alcohol at ours either. You can pay $1 for a cup and you're expected to tip $1 if you get a drink, but you never actually pay for the beer...and it's Coors Light

Same here in Vegas. Full nude strip joints are 18+ so there's no alcohol.
I've been to one...it was crazy and I was drunk. There were guys upstairs and girls downstairs...i got drunk upstairs and came downstairs to sit next to some random guys one of my girlfriends picked out and had another drink and thats when i almost threw up on the floor....
