Bowazon 1.11 LadderStyle

K. So I'm going to make a bowazon cause I was looking at the ladder bows and they're just sooo sexy, and for 2HR fairly cheap.
What I'm really torn on is wether I should use a Ice or a Faith? I know Faith is naturally going to massivly more dmg plus IAS, but Ice has got the sexy +Cold Dmg and -Resist. They both have Ignore Tragets Def. The only thing is cold can always be res/sorb and I doubt in alot of duels I'll be close enough to hit them w/ the Hfreeze aura. So Faith?
I have a feeling Slick will have some advice for me since hes always talking up his zon. ;)

Ammy-Cats eye/Highlords/Maybe Metalgrid?
Gloves-20Ias, resist, dex
Boots-Uh...Treks/Marrowalks/Travs?
Helm-Shako/Gskull(Don't know for the 2os)?
Armor-Valor(For now alot of str req tho) my best bet is Fort I think.

The boots and gloves I can play around w/ until I feel fit. I'm thinking any of those boots for the +base str, so I can put extra into dex/vit. Maybe instead of the Valor I could use Peace for now. I really don't know about the metalgrid really I just happen to have one.

Charms-Well first off I'm going to get 2fire scs for stun. Then I'm trying to decided between BowGc's or mass 20lifers? Or a mix.. Oh.. and I just found a 1max/20ar/19life sc today to. GODLY! :p Almost atleast eh? Good enough for ladder.

Well kan, pretty much all bowzon duels will be from atleast a few screens away from you, so yes ur holy freeze really wont do much. Faith is by far the sickest bow for a zon. Also I suggest the Bone Visage because knockback is so key when dueling any other class, plus you can put some nice runes/jewels in it. Also YOU NEED DR! I suggest an upped shaft. As for boots if you can get them....get shadow dancers! As you kno dex adds to dmg for zons and thats a massive boost to dex not to mention the 30fhr. Now bowzons are godly when they have a massive amount of frw....so start collecting those charms. Basically if you can max, fhr, frw, ias, dr, and life you will be godly. One draw back to zons however....as you can tell your zon has like no res so....maybe get some anti elemental gear or something. OH! how could i forget, PSN! now adays u got the bonemancers who has godly bone armors, psn will reduce their life greatly but thats just an extra thing to think about. Also i prefer the + passive/magic skill gc's because if you can dodge more u survive longer to hit more. Also i'm torn between the cats eye and highlords, both has ias...HL's has 1+ skills and DS! which is hot, but the others got plus dex and plus frw so its up to you. You kno wat skills to max right?

Whats your dmg at? Give me a run down of your skills too. Oh and the fuck am I going to get 147%, preferably 293%IAS? Gesus, I've only got like 80+% right now and if I socketed my GS w/ 2 15%'s and 1 in my shaft thats only like 125! I don't have any hope against people w/ their jeweler/life mod helms and armors.

You don't need to nessisarily HAVE to max it, and did u factor in the level of ur fantasm? I had a 96 .09 bow sorc back before i gave everything away last year, i forget her dmg, i think u keep thinkin that i have a bowzon when i in reality have a bow SORC. who does 4k dmg, which isnt that great, still needs to lvl. Also people with those jeweler crap can't tank anything unless they are godly with life, although they are still a bitch sometimes, often its the person who is already out in the den that kills the rest. U gotta max CS, GA, Avoid, I would put the rest of my points into Dodge and Strafe, evade should have like one.

I think every passive skill deserves at least 1 point on any kind of character unless the points are just needed somewhere else. +skills can really boost your passive skills, for instance my barbarian has 1 point into the 4 passive skills and maxed axe mastery, and the passive skills are like level 11 each or something, quite worth the 1 point.

Well my charms atm are: 2PassiveMagic, 2Bow, 7 20 lifesc(some w/ +mods), 3%frw cold resist sc, 1/20/19, 5%fhr, torch anni, 175psndmg lc. Plus my bow does +2 skills. +3 Bow
I've got all my gear glitched so it looks like Im neked :) and I do 750-2.7K dmg w/269 dex which seems a bit disapointing. I've still got 10 lvls till 90 and 100 stats points saved atm...

Okay, for items, it's typically pretty easy to pick what's better if you actually sit down and look at the stats. Dex gives a fixed per-point benefit. Damage, attack rating, and the like are all the same.

So to compare... perhaps a helmet with stats and +1 skills and a helmet with different stats and 2 sockets, look at what jewles or runes you have or can get, and add the stats. Convert any modifiers to straight stats, add them on the socketed item. Calculate your damage, ar, defense, etc with that helmet. Add in your bonuses and enhancements from skills. Write that number down. Then, look at what stats the +1 skills helmet gives, add your +1 skills in a skill planner program, and calculate what you get with your bonuses and enhancements from skills. Compare numbers. Done.

The only times you have to actually make a decision is when you have to choose between one benefit and another. For example, you can get more AR or more resist. This is typically an easy example. If you have resists maxed, go for AR. If your AR is godly, go for the resists in case someone has lower resists. It's usually pretty easy to guess at what you need more.

If I had an hour or two, I'd put together a build, but, unfortunately, I'm at work. I get off at 9, and if I'm really, really bored, I'll do it then.

Well, I'm not as worried now about my damage as I am more about my IAS. If I had more I think I could name lock ppl and keep them stunned. I was dueling a hammerdin friend earlier and they really can't do much if you run shoot run shoot. Even if they tele onto you the hammers arn't really quick enough. 1 hit though and it's over. I know in order to duel sorcs I'd have to have a certain setup for each element, and I really can't switch gear atm because it's all relying on a certain str setup. :o

Finding a character that doesnt need to switch gears for pvp'ing different classes would be the best dueler.

Ya no shit. I can usually kill sorcs b4 they get in my screen tho. :D I got a Lo off a trav run, so I made a fort... it came out perfect ^_^ Oh ya. So now I do 4.1k Dmg w/out psn. ^_^ I own all pubs. ALL.
