Personally i shudder to think about how much time i spent playing this game. You should ask MJ, it was an ungodly number of hours im sure. It got far too addictive.

Uncountable.

It likely exceeds 5 digits.

Timmay, you know how much I've spent. I've spent hours upon hours, 4 digits -- defietly, -- 5 digits maybe, but I doubt I've spent 1/4 of the time you have.

Words cannot describe the horrifying amount of time I have spent playing this game.

I've been playing (on bnet) since 1.03. I pretty much played in any spare time I had. It's rather disgusting, actually. The depressing part, is that I still play.

Um... not nearly as many as I've put into other games, specifically UO and CS. Time "devoted" to CS isn't that, however. It's time enjoyed, as there is no continual benefit of playing more. You don't get new l337 items. You improve your skills, but, generally, all you get is more time to play.

I can't remember what patch i started on, perhaps like 1.05. I just can't believe how freaking addictive that game was to me. It was worse than a drug.

I usually play till I get bored then return the next day over and over again.Being bored with this game doesnt stop you playing ,I just cannt get away from it.

I agree with Blackadder, sometimes i get bored of playing it, like when i do a baal run for 1 hours straight. It's probably because the game is like a community, you interact with other people to trade and help them. That's why it's so fun, the people you meet are always different.

They should put a surgeons(sp?) general warning on this game -.-.

Surgeons General Warning: This game may cause loss of eyesight by staring into the computer screen to long. Some people are at the risk of major muscle cramps and blood clots. Extreme loss of sleep is another common side effect along with the fact that you might get mal nutruition because your too busy playing the game wrather than eating.

Too many long winter days and nights playing this game looking for that one item you just "gotta have". Easily over 1000 hours. My Windforce has fired more arrows than were ever fired by all the Indians in the Old West. Forty years from now I will probably teach my grandkids about Deckard Cain...

i've been playing since original 1.03. my friends and i hounded the guy at staples to give us copies early, but we got a nice big "kicked-out-of-the-store" instead. pretty goddamn funny if you ask me.

anyway, i played off and on, but overall i guarantee i played d2 into the quadruple digits.

I've played ALOT before 1.10 thousands of hours easily. When 1.10 came I checked it out again, but after getting my hammerdin to 87 on the ladder which was pretty easy, it got a bit boring. I uninstalled it, that was in December 2003, couldnt install again because my cousin borrowed my cd, gave it back last week :p but I dont feel the need to play, I guess I'm done with that game :D
