Hi!

Is there a way to make diablo2 connecting to a specific server ip to join a game? (ye, for clonehunting)

Example: i want to join a .45 server. the normal way is to open up to 500 games and hope there is a .45.

I had the idea to config my firewall to block all the ip exept .45 (for example)
Result: I get alwas the "failed to join" message and the firewall says that he wants to connect to a "forbidden" ip (one i blocked)

So is there a way to redirect d2 to the specific server?

Hope for good ideas ;)

Well, if I understand correctly, Battle.Net servers hand out the fastest server to you (or it's totally random)

So there's no way of controling it, just use one of them spiffy autoit bots until you find one.

i think that battle.net servers hands out the fastest server to you

but if you want to block all ips to join an diablo clone game,i think it wont help you, because diabloclone don“t come allways in the same ip

Basically. The correct term would be "Load Distribution". ;)

There is no (known) way thru the D2 Client to actually REQUEST to join a specific server. To be honest, I doubt that you can.
