View Full Version : They need to make a new money.
I'm tired of trading my items because everyone wants the leets and I don't have all the leets so everyone needs to hurry up and use the same type of items for moneys...

He's talking about currency, like SOJs were before the patch, you traded SOJs for items.

yes there arent enough sojs out there to become currency, so item for item is the only option right now

I'd think Sol runes could be a decent currency actually, but that shit will never happen...

if its going to be a rune then it would be something like Pul Lum or something that upgrades items..they are in good high demand now..that or Vex rune...lol but thats a little too high..
Pul or Lum rune? Are you crazy? Those are hard to get as it is and how could something that hard to get become the currency? Think before you speak man. I would like to see like Titus said sol runes or perfect gems become the currency but that will never happen....

What like 32020's were easy to find? - The currency HAS to be something that is very hard to find - otherwise its not valuable. It needs to be a single space type item too like a ring or small charm - so you can collect them without running out of inventory space. I think the currency on west used to be HEX's -i never had one. I think they all got wiped by the ruststorm. My Chars on east still have their 32020's though.
Low level Runes and Gems are too common to be practical as a currency form - you'd be trading Huge quantities of them for the better items. I can see it now "100 sol runes for your Enigma - via 2.5 easy payments of 40ea". People would take your first 2 payments of 40 and then just leave the game - no enigma for you.

3/20/20s were mostly duped, same for the High Runes in the past, 40/15ias, 40/15max, 40/10min jewels etc.
On Ladder, you can upgrade the runes, even though it may not be a common practice for people to take, say, 4 Um + 2 topaz to make 2 Mals, and using that + an amethyst to yield an Ist.
But Runes really can be a curreny, as least on Ladder. By the way, Pul and Lum are not hard to find at all comparing to other high runes. Hephasto quest can drop up to Um rune in Hell, and I think Countess still have a higher chance to drop runes (if...they didn't change that).

Sojs? Hard to find?? You obviously forgot about back when they became currency they were easily found which is why they were so easy to find. Nagle+Manald+Next Unique Ring = Soj.

Sojs were currency also because they were useful for any character that needs a boost of skill and mana, and due to packet sniffing in gamble, varies dupes (back in Classic, even).
Don't forget, no one would ever trade Elite quality items for Sojs. People had to use Ber/Jah/Cham/Zod to trade things like Cruel ____ of Quickness and Jeweler's ____ (light class armor) of Whale.

Yeah dude Ex-mania sojs used to be extremely easy to get when you could gamble for them, and most of them had been duped anyways.

my first unique ring was a 7% manald , the second was a 6% manald , the third was a 5% manald and the forth was a 21% nagel ring , i hope the next will be a soj...
I think the best currency would be Lem or Ko rune, because they have a use: upgrading items!
