pvm assassin guide?

my friend just reinstalled diablo2 and he wants to make an assassin so i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for making a good pvm assassin such as skills and possibly why's if you have the time.

the asns i saw had the lightning skill with the corpse explosion and they were ownin in hell baal games, i hear that the shadows are also alot strong now
