Building a merc to go with my mf sorc

first of all...which merc should i choose to go with my lvl 99 mf sorc..she does pindle runs using pindabot...
anyways..i went for the barb..he's using ethreal gaze...3 topaz griz armor..and doombringer

i need a better sword and a better armor..what do u suggest for my barb..keep in mind..i need him to stay alive..and yet, have magic find on him

ps. how does the magic find work when my merc kills sumthing..does my mf add onto his, giving him an added bonus?

When your merc kills something, he gets his mf + your mf. When you kill, you only get your mf.

If the merc kills the monster then your MF will be added to his, if you kill the monster it will only use your MF.
By the way my sorcies barb uses Eth Gaze, Skulldres, and GF (sometimes DUal Isted Ali Baba and Shaft instead)

i use an act 1 fire merc she wears a shako skulders and a shaeled goldstrike. she has +3 to skills so some times she shoots lightning and she also kills alot because she shoots realy fast.

My merc is Act 2 Nightmare Holy Freeze, and uses Shaft, Tals Helm, and Cruel War Pike. No Mf, but his reason was to solely take shots and dmg Pindle a little.

Barb mercs are better, because my merc never gets off his Aura in time, and if he does, its pointless by that time! LoL, doh! :(

If you keep that merc, just put on Skulldirs and socket the Doom with Amn or something for more life leech. They aren't hard to get, so Amn won't really ruin it. :)

He will stay alive quite fine I'm sure, but that every so often case, just set your chicken lvl on him too! :)

Zephyr bow, Blackhorns, and Vipermagi, shes PvP so wtf why am i posting here
