ok, i have been getting this error the entire time i've been playing d2, but i thought it was only because i had d2loader going on too. but, i just reinstalled and error still exists. it occurs when i run d2, create game, alt+tab out to windows (for various reasons), and return to game. everything is normal, however, the next time i alt+tab out of d2, and try to return, an error message will pop up and d2 will crash. error message reads:

Assertion Failure
Location: D2Direct3D\Srd3dtexturecache.cpp, line #90
Expression: tCache->nMaxNumItems

i dont know what's going on. please help so i can play d2 error free!!! thanks in advance.
don't look at me in that tone of voice

Hmm when I played D2 I never had that kind of problem and I'm running WinXp. You should post this in the D2 Forums maybe Hellmonkeys would know something.

According to the error, the problem is located within the Direct3d mode, so switch to Direct Draw until someone has the solution to your problem.

you go 2 your start menu >> program files >> diablo2

after that click on video test. Skip the test. U should then have 2 options.

Try to re-install DirectX or update driver for your video card.
Switch back to Direct3D then.

Will this works ??
