I didn't realize it was by that large of a margin though.

Why do these candidates need millions upon millions of dollars to begin with? Especially since whatever the loser makes will just end up as ill gotten gains...

Television advertising is a major expense.

I'm not sure I want a candidate that appeals to the masses with a television. I don't have a TV, and people that depend on the TV to sway their vote should probably be launched into the sun.

The big spending is part of a larger problem that our society has with money. It's the same with Iraq or anything of that sort. That money could be spent on better education, on the NSF, feeding the hungry... any of that. 1 in 4 children in this country go to bed hungry. That's... sad. But let's spend hundreds of millions on TV ads, guys! Hundreds of millions of dollars on flashing lights and images when millions of people are left without food. Not that I am advocating socialism. But you should get the idea.

All a child has to do is say they went to bed hungry once in the last 6 months or a year I forget which, that statistic is bullshit. I go to bed hungry almost every night.

ANd I totally agree with you about the spending, problem is that the biggest part of liberty is right to own property and that your body is yours and only yours.

Well I use my body my time my life to earn MY money, it should be completely up to me on how I spend my life my time my body.

Besides that, a more prosperous society, without a heavy tax burden will be more prosperous. And therefore more generous.

There two things are mutually exclusive. That's a logical fallacy. If don't like sports then asshole. However, many people are assholes and like sports.
