As we all know, making a popular and well updated gaming community takes alot of time and patience, but that's not one of the bigger problems these days. The biggest problem for an administrator is to pay the expensive bandwidth bills, which could easily scare most people off from attempting to start his or her own gaming community.

The regular banner advertising is going so bad these days it's pointless to use one, since less than 1% of the users decide to click on one. Many good sites have had to close lately, since their banners weren't enough to cover their expenses. Since we are a particulary new forum, our expenses haven't skyrocketed yet, but any regular gaming community member will know the rules for popularity. We provide you with the latest news and constant updates, which technically means that we'll get an uncontrollable amount of members, that will make our wallets more empty than and empty hole in our empty pockets!

The best ways to keep a gaming community alive is either to blackmail Bill Gates, or have the forum members donate a small amount of money, maybe once every month. Since nobody wants to go to jail, we would want you to donate some money via PayPal, so the Zelaron community can survive. Even a dollar is better than nothing, and if 100 members would donate one dollar once every month, since it would cover the current bandwidth/hosing cost for now, and would be greatly appreciated.

If you decide to donate a single dollar or more, we will change your forum title to "Zelaron Pal" and change the color of your dots for the following month, so nobody will have missed that you were kind enough to donate money to keep the forums alive.

We have decided to give anyone who donates more than $10 a month of hosting with the total sum * 0,5 mb storage, so for example, a donation of $14 would mean that you get a zelaron.com/yourname address for a month with 7 mb storage. It might not sound like a lot of room, but we never wanted it to be for file storage, since we already have big problems with bandwidth feels.
Your site would be extremely fast, and you would get linked to on the main page, which could bring a lot of visitors to your site. The main idea behind all of this is still that you can help us with the hosting fees, so you will get honored with an OC-48 backbone connection for a month.

Some basic rules about the hosting:
* No download archives
* No porn sites
* No links to bad/illegal material

Not so tricky, is it? If you are happy with the hosting and would like to keep the site after a month, feel free to contact me, and I'm sure we could come up with something.

Okay, here is a summary what you would get if you would donate, since that was a long read:

* New forum user title; "Zelaron Pal"
* Zelaron.com/yoursite
* Donation amount * 0,5 mb of storage (hosting a file archive would kill the whole purpose with donations to pay for the bandwidth)
* Respect from all the members

Please note that there is no way I can set up unlimited accounts, so if the hosting accounts would be full, I would hook you up with the hosting the month after, and make sure that you get something extra for your trouble.
Also remember that 5 mb would be the minimum amount of storage you could "pay" for, even if there are cheaper hosts out there

Don't worry, it will stay alive somehow.
I think PayPal would still require you to have a credit card in order to do payments, so there's no need to worry about that for now.

The only things you get after all is just some mad fast hosting, sexy user titles and lots of respect by helping us

Also, I could imagine that my bills would skyrocket even more next year, since forums tend to increase in popularity after that long for some reason. People won't think it's just a "newbie forum that will vanish" any longer.

I've had that paypal account for about five times as long as Zel itself, so there's really no need for me to change that account.

I'll probably set up zelaron@zelaron.com as soon as I get the email accounts to work properly.

Plus, I'd probably have to pay some outrageous amounts in order to withdraw it. PayPal is still a good way for this, but we'll see :/
