I believe it is quite possible to write it from scratch in conjunction with the GD Lib. Oh, and thank you for that page of information. I've been looking into how to go about designing fractals. I might just come up with a php code similar to your own. Probably not as good, because it won't be random, but hopefully enough to create the Mandelbrot set. Okay, I'm off for now.
