If an "Internet 2.0" was coming out

What would you expect to be improved?

What new features would you hope to be implemented? (eg. No more anonymity, everyone would have a single username they used everywhere)

What features would you be completely resistant to? (eg. No more anonymity, everyone would have a single username they used everywhere)

The speed has to dramatically increase in any scenario. The average in America according to Ookla (who is owned by Comcast, mind you) is around 20mbps. Speeds need to be around 1GB/s for any fully integrated cloud model to take off.

Which leads into the next point. Having a cloud based internet where files aren't necessarily hosted user side but on server side would require all people to use logins/remove anonymity. Is it necessary? No. But is it inevitable? For most, yes. There will never be full transparency as long as coders and engineers smarter than the people building these systems exist. Where will ever full privacy? Definitely not.

But more important than anything that is currently in place is accessibility. Something like 60% of the world still doesn't have access to the Internet (as well as water, goods and other exponentially more important things). Companies like Space X, Virgin, Boeing and Microsoft are working on plans for Satellite grids to provide the entire world with high speed internet, and eventually interplanetary internet access (because if we're going to to be on Mars, then we'll definitely need to tweet fucking photos).
