Post Order of Priorities

We all know that a game is made up of several different traits, but what is the order of those.

At this time, mine are:

Story- Need a good story to capture your attention.

Gameplay- Who would have a game with out spending lots of time on it?

Controls- Must have non-frustrating controls.

Graphics- These are always nice to have, but then again who really needs good graphics if the game itself is to die for?

Sound- A nice quality, hell, I am still humming the lost forest music From Ocarina of Time.

Price- If it is a worthy game, I am willing to shell out the big bucks for it.

Please reply with your order, and any comments.

I pretty much agree with that but the story line is less important to me.

Really? I think that is what captivates the player. Like, Zelda wouldnt be the same without that story line. I mean, it just grips you and brings you into the game.

Graphics because, Would you play diablo 2 if it was text based? =p

Graphics first in list = doom 3 type
Second = one small step down, possibly Counterstrike or better
Third = Diablo 2 type
Fourth = older, almost 2d
Fifth = SNES, Nintendo Style
Last = Text

Ever played Fantasy Empires? All it is is text, and it is a very addictive game.

the game doesnt exist without the story, thats why its first on my line. but a lot of the time i dont pay attention to it, and just play a game for its gameplay.

If you take D2 into consideration. The story is soso but that doesnt matter because I dont play the story.

Yeah, I forgot about the franchise. I would rather buy a game from Rare than 3DO.
