Life: the game?

OK I'm just having a break from studying for this test I got tomorrow so I've decided to write up this little theory I have. I've been having this idea for about 5+ years now, got it around the time I started playing RPG's...

Basically everyone starts their life in death as souls. When you are dead you will be residing in a lets say, a chat room. From there everyone is connected to this world as spectators and able to chat with eachother.

When there you can choose a life to live, there's a wide variety of lifes you can choose from, all having their own difficulty rating. For instance a life as a millionairs son with good genetics able to live long would score a 30% difficulty while a poor starving African life would score you a 90% difficulty.

The goals of a life are set by you before entering the life your going to pick. Maybe a goal could be, be recognized by 6 million people at the end of your life. OR live to be 80 years old, without serious injuries. Also, goals affect the difficulty rating aswell.

Then you get born and dont remember anything, until the time you die. Now when you spawn in this new life you will keep some of your own personality and also get some of your earthly parents (other souls) The better you are at this game, or the more lifes you play and the more goals you accomplish with each life, the more you keep your own personality (lets call this prime personality) when born again.

For example when you play for the first time you maybe keep 10% of your prime personality as you are born, but as you play more and more lifes your prime personality grows stronger and thus you will be able to keep more of this when being born in the next life you play.

This is needed because the more you keep your prime personality the more you will be able to set specific goals before entering a life, because you will know yourself enough to know that you will either accomplish these goals or not. And the more goals you are accomplishing, the higher your score/prime personality will be.

Now then, why? Because the one with the highest score/prime personality will be god for as long as he/she keeps the highest score. He/She will not be able to participate in the life game anymore, instead as a god you are able to subtly influence other souls on earth and basically do whatever you want to with everything else, like environment (earthquakes, hurricanes etc.)

Now as a god you will be able to influence other souls, BUT of course a soul who has a high prime personality is harder to influence than one with low. Generally the closer they are to your own level of prime personality, the harder they are to influence (otherwise you could fuck them up and be god forever, which is not fair)

Holy shit, that was WAY longer than I'd expected it to be, it certainly didnt seem as long when it was still in my mind...

Anyway, what do you think? (besides me being crazy)

Actually... That's not a bad idea. Would take a ton of work to realize, though. And how would you play through your life? FPS style? Diablo-ish POV? Also, how long would a "life" last? 20 minutes? A week? 3 months?

The concept is very interesting, but it'll need a ton of work to make it work properly.

heh...

I was actually talking about what if real life was like this. "The game" just sort of came up as a title because life in this "theory", basically is a game.

Actually, ur game is what the buddhist believe in. They believe that the soul is reborn again and again til it reaches its nirvana (in ur case the goal). But to get thier, u start as a peasant with a harsh life (that 90 %category) til u reach the millionaire statis (10 % category). From there, u become a god and then u reach nirvana. ITs funny the way u put it but ur reasoning is actually a religion that occupies a good portion of the world.
