vB is definately worth the money if you're serious about running a board, but InvisionBoard seems to be "almost" as good, and it's free. It's generally recommended over phpBB, and just as I'm an old phpBB hog, I refuse to acknowledge Invision.

I used Invision, it isnt hard to setup at all. Just read the Manual Carefuly.
