Talking aim icons
Reply

A couple of my friends have Aim icons that make sounds whenever they make an emoticon or say lol or such. Needless to say, this makes me want to rip my fucking ears off, so I was wondering if anyone could provide a more elegant solution to my problem. I don't see any preferences which allows you to turn the sound off for icons in Aim.

I've never come across that problem O_o. Maybe it's because I have everything pretty much disabled except the aim in / out sound.

What does it do, display some animated smiley face laughing and then it makes a sound?

Well, I figured it out. It's called Superbuddy. It's godawfully annoying, but thankfully you can disable it.
