Too many people don't realise that Bane (that guy's name), has Agent Smith's program in him (much like the training programs from the first movie), and that he sabotaged the Zion counterattack. Hmmm my theory may be shot down here.

Smith was not in Zion, he was the guy that was cutting his hand and getting ready to kill Neo, which is the same guy in Neo's dream that was taken over by Smith when he answered the phone and got out of the Matrix. I'm almost positive that was the same guy on the slab at the end of the movie.

I gotta see it again to figure all this crap out....Jeezus it only took me 3 days to see both movies and get caught up in the hype. I had no desire to see the matrix until my girlfriend made me lol.

My theory is that 'The Matrix' that they enter in the movie is actually a Matrix within a Matrix. Xion is just another illusion. Why else would this be the 6th time that Xion would be rebuilt. And why would Neo be able to send that EMP at the end?

Also, yup, that's definately Bane in the ending scene.

This movie just set up WAY too many questions to be answered, which I don't have a problem with. Because now I know that Revolutions will be INCREDIBLE. It will explain it all, and it's only a couple months away.

yeah...after I saw X2 and having small expectations for this movie since the first one revealed the great graphics and this one only leaving us w/ a TV series ending and a story line...I was dissapointed...but I was glad I saw it in theatre's...it probably wouldn't have been the same...and that sex scene was unique

its bane. if anyone has played Enter the Matrix, and watched the clips, it shows Bane sabotaging the counter-attack. and the thing that is different about the one this time around is hes in love, unlike the previous 5 versions of the matrix. was my third time seeing it today, and i finally caught that part. theres nothing special bout smith (not agent smith anymore).
So this baby seal walks into a club.

Hold on, then how did he become The One everytime? I thought that Trinity had to fall in love for that to happen, and inadvertantly, Neo would fall in love with her everytime too? Maybe he just didn't fall in love the other times?

But they showed him in the TV screens talking to the achitect, and it was the job of The One to go in that room and talk to him, so it must've been Neo everytime.

Those screens were all the different possibilities for neo to answer... didnt you see when the guy gave him the choice to go left or right,.... they ALL went to the same door... but the architech said the others went to the opisit door.
