Well, the bear (I can't remember his name since it's been that long since they've showed him) serves the purpose of giving some comic relief to Bleach. But the other 3 dolls from the bounto episodes I really dislike. But the point is that they can't just disappear, so the creators of the anime dug their own hole when the dolls were created.

I can think of several comics and anime that were made that didn't need fillers actually. So simply put. The Japs are stupid. But they still own.
