Question About Fable
Reply
Posted 2004-09-12, 11:13 AM
Okay, I don't want to go out and buy an XBox, but I really like what I see in Fable. It looks awesome. Is there any way it could come out for PC, and when is it coming out?

Dude, this is the Reviews Forum. You post reviews here, not questions. I'll go ahead and move this to the XBox Forum for you.

It's not exactly as choice-driven as it has been shown to be. The main storyline is linear and the only thing that you can really change is how you look and such. If you decide to settle down with a family and avoid the story then some people will come by and slaughter your family to keep you going.

It looks awesome, and I am almost temted to buy a XBox. That may sound stupid, but it looks frakin sweet. Being able to become either good, evil, or somewhere in the middle just sounds cool. But, is there any chance the game will come out on PC. It is made by Microsoft, and that would be logical. If it does come out on PC, I will buy it within the first day. I really don't want to spend around $200.00, but I have it just in case.

Well, I have already decided to buy a XBox just for the game. I am gonna split the bill with my roommate, and his brother is going to buy Fable for us for Christmas. Not a bad deal.

It isn't made by Microsoft, it is made by Big Blue Box, a division of Lionhead Studios, the masterminds behind the Black and White games! Since they make PC games as well, then there is a very small chance that it will come out for PC. Don't hold your breath, though.

[The game is sweet... one thing though I beat it within 11 hours!!! What the fuck is this shit, it's not even worth the $50 if you beat it on the third day you have it . I also did a good number of the side quest and got a few of the legendary weapons. My brother has been playing a bit aswell and now with my help he is 8 hours in and has about 90% of the game finished. Good but not even worth the money and half of the stuff they talked about making fable great isn't even in the game.

thats weird how come u just now post? but anyways if it is 11 hours only!! omg what a waste of money, i mean if u would buy it at 50 then it would be a waste of money, that is way too short for a 50 dollar game, maybe cheaper u could get it but right now i sugges u wouldn't

U doubt it will come out on PC. I think it was made to help either A) bring more RPG to xbox. or B) Make people like you want to go out and buy an xbox for this game :-D Either way I very much doubt that it will be on PC.

Anywho, I got it the second day it came out and It's great. Already got me a house and am workin on gettin a pretty little lady to live with me. I think I can get her tonight

But you see, the thing is that if you have an XBox game, you almost have a PC game. Just add keyboard and mouse support, make sure it works on a range of current graphics hardware at decent resolutions, and you have a PC game ready to sell. An XBox game runs on an x86 proccessor running almost windows and directX.
