Grin South Park Owns
Reply
Posted 2004-04-01, 03:05 PM
I love South Park. Anyone who is a true fan has seen at least 90% of their episodes. The had a new edisode on March 31, 2004 (just incase you read this later) . It was about Mel Gibsons movie The Passion of The Christ. I wont spoil it but Cartman is attempting to create a Nazi party again(its like the 3rd or 4th time ). Anyways Kyle goes to see The Passion. A few others involves The Special Olympics and Cartman (lol), and so far the funniest 8th season episode has to be the Ninja episode where the group get their hands on asian weapons and play-fight with them . So far the only episode I haven't seen yet would be the episode where Cartman sings 'O Holy Night'.

I'll agree that South Park is a pretty good show. On the surface it seems to be mostly obscenity and some sex jokes but if you watch closer, you can realize the humor and satire that's in the show which makes it oh-so-witty and enjoyable to watch.

The chappelle show sucks ass . The only reason it gets laughs is because the man is so not-funny that people feel sorry for the poor bastard.

South Park does "own." It's one of the funniest shows that I have ever seen, and is far better than the Chappelle Show. Chappelle is funny at times. His skit where he brought Sesame Street characters, (I think it was Sesame Street) and taught kids about drugs, VD's, and saying "fuck it" to life was hillarious, but Chappelle is nothing compared to South Park. I missed the last one though. I'll have to catch it on friday or saturday.

Just saw the last South Park. It was pretty amusing. You can't expect them to make the best episode every time. It was pretty cool.

South Park is sheer genius. There's no show more satirical, more witty or more consistently hysterical than South Park. The only show that comes close is Family Guy, and I don't consider it quite up to South Park's standards.

You've got that all wrong, Raziel. Family Guy is/was, by far, the best animated show on television. I'm really ticked off they stopped producing episodes, and the only time I can watch it is at 11 pm on Adult Swim.

"Sir, could you please move your van off the diving board."
"That's not a van, that's my son!"
"Oh.. Hey Tom, it's not a van; it's just a fat kid! Look at the Fatty McFat Fat Fatty kid!"

Genious!

Sorry but there is just no beating South Park. That I know of at least. Family Guy is a good show but I still feel that nothing can oust South Park.

I have to concur with Tsukasa. Family Guy is incredible, but South Park is absolute genius. The sheer limitless depths of Trey Parker's mental groutesquery are proof enough of that. I laugh with Family Guy. Hard. But I've never laughed so hard I've almost vomited. I cannot say the same for South Park.
