How to make a good Hybrid Barb?
Whick skills and which gear?

I thought:
08 Arreatz
160/60 ias Armor + Life/FHR/Str
Wt (bugged or legit)
Nosferatus
Nice LL Rings
Nice Ammy 2 all barb skills ml and some other stats

But:
Gloves? Weapons? Skills? more in dex or life?

I think a Lancer barb is nice...I miss them. If you can get hold of a Cruel Warpike of quickness...shael shael for 80 Ias breakpoint.

Anyway, you're going Sword/throw hybrid?

Unlegit hybrid:

1.09 Arreat/Bugg Shako
ITH 915.
1.08 Arcaines.
Stormshield.
Craft/Rare glove with *20ias/LL* ( optimal with dex and strengt , skills etc ).
20dex Raven.
Boneheart Amu
Bugg Nosferatus.
Bugg WT.
Duped craft ring Shadow Whorl ( 11ll/15str/14dex with life and mana ).

You MUST socket a item with one 40/15ias to reach next breakpoint. Then socked rest with Jah or 40/15max or Shael stormshield.

Not sure on skills but...

Max Zerk or Max Stun. Max Bo. Max Shout. Max SM. 1 point into BC , stoneskin , frw.

Charms.

1x SC FHC charm. 9x SC FRW, Rest half War Cry charms with life and 3/20/20 charms.

Min strengt and dex . Max vita.

Hm more suggestions anyone? Apoq?

I dont think either of these people know what a hybrid is. Mr. Lee, that's not a good gear setup for a hybrid, and why would you ever use stun for anything but a prereq?

That being said, use 1.08 BER arreats for the ITD effect, pretty necessary for throwing. Try to get a good cruel 2hand sword for your switch with a low strength requirement. -15req/40ed storm is what I'd recommend for a shield, as well as 2 good cruel winged harpoons.
The main problem I've seen with hybrids is low life due to low battle orders and low whirl damage because of low strength. Legit is probably the way to go as it's the best way to max dr, I would use 40/15 shaft and war traveler. 15 dr from string + 30 shaft + 8 BER = 53 dr while using throw gear, which will be hard to manage, don't get hit =/.

Oh yeah, and don't put min dex, you need 220 for block and dmg Iron skin and shout are useless, get 1 on zerk.
You need good frw, I'd use 20 3max/5frw charms and 20 3/20lifes.

I dont think either of these people know what a hybrid is.

Aww I just want to make sure~ I've seen Axe/Throw and Lance/Throw baba~ so who knows?

Anyway, seems like you're building the standard kind of Hybrid.
Sword/Shield, Double Throw that is.

For Sword, I'd compare two swords for you.
Cruel Legend Sword of Swiftness/Quickness (Clean 2 socket)
1 hand damage, 92 - 228
2 hand damage, 204 - 380

Range 3
either Swiftness or Quickness, you'll be one hand WW'ing at 5fpa.

For Legend sword, you'd need a total of 75% ias to reach 9fpa Zerk. 30% or 40% + 2x 40/15ias + 20ias gloves = 80 or 90. If it is of Quickness, you can put only 1 40/15 ias and reach 75% ias, leaving the other socket for a 40/15 max.

So, 380% CLDoS (2x 40/15ias) will do:
1 hand: 110 - 273 = 191.5 avg.
2 hand: 244 - 456 = 350 avg

380% CLDoQ (40/15ias, 40/15max)
1 hand: 110 - 288 = 199 avg
2 hand: 244 - 471 = 357.5 avg

But most just go for a Cruel Colossus Blade of Quickness:
Clean, 3 socket:
1 hand damage, 104 - 264
2 hand damage, 236 - 464

Range 3
You'll be 40% ias to reach 5fpa one hand WW. Which is, already there.

However, for 9fpa zerk, you will need 150% ias.
And that's 110% ias you'd need.
You'll need 20% gloves, and 60% ias from armor, and 2x 40/15ias in sword, along with a 40/15 max.

You will get:
420% CCBoQ (2x 40/15ias, 40/15max)
1 hand: 135 - 358 = 246.5 avg.
2 hand: 306 - 618 = 462 avg

But that's losing 30% DR from Shaft.

Btw JiDDaR, are you building this on West or Europe?

For Sword go with the CCSoQ.

For Java, find some Cruel Winged Harpoon of Alacrity/Evis.

You will be using Double throw, so:

IAS Frames per attack
0 % 8
2 % 7.5
7 % 7
15 % 6.5
24 % 6
40 % 5.5
63 % 5
99 % 4.5
168 % 4
395 % 3.5

168% is almost impossible to achieve, so you'll be aiming for 100% ias for some situations.
60% from armor, 20% from gloves, 20% from WH.

Without armor, you'll throw at 6.5fpa on a plain WH.
With a 20% ias on WH, you will take the speed up to 5.5fpa. Which is what I'd recommand.

Perfect (300/63) Cruel Winged Harpoon of Evis:
48 - 375 = 211.5 avg dmg.

Perfect (300) Cruel Winged Harpoon of Alacrity:
48 - 312 = 180 avg dmg.

Headgear: 08 Arreat, Ber it if you feel insecure when you're walking w/o Shield.
Armor: 160/60ias Light armor with +Life/FHR (depends if you need the FHR, you want at least 30.)
Shaft with 40/15ias (see below)
Shield: Storm Shield. Depends on how you socket your sword. Most people go 3x 40/15max on CCBoQ, in that case, 40/15ias the Shaft and SS. (3x 40/15max CCBoQ is easier to resell.)
Sword: CCBoQ with 3x 40/15max.
Belt: Perfect 8/15/15 SoE.
Boot: I'll go War Travs.
Ammy: 2skill ml one looks nice.
Rings: I'd suggest 1 raven frost actually, perfect dex, for dex would +dmg for throwing Java.
Another ring, get a nice 11%LL with + Str, and life, resists are bouns.

You might want the 160/60 vs necro, sorc, trapsin since you want 9fpa Zerk and 4.5 fpa DT.

Vs barb you need Full DR no doubt.
Always have frw, you won't last long without it...when you use java...

Faster Run/walk from skills = Y

Total effective FR/W = X + Y

From what dirkdig has suggested...20x 3/ar/5%frw.
That's 100% frw from charms. With 25% frw from War Trav.
125% frw from items. Since Increase speed starts to diminish at lv 7...I'd use that for calculation. Lv 7 Increase speed = 32% frw from skill.

Total effective Frw = ~93%

Skill points:
at level 99 you will have 110 skill points.
You want the following skills:
Sword mastery
Throw mastery
WhirlWind
Double Throw (1)
Increase Speed
Natural Resist
Battle Order
Battle Command (1 or 0)
Berserk (1)

10 in prereq skill, so 100 points left.
You have +4 to all skills (ammy and arreat)
Increase speed diminish at lvl 7, so you want at least 3 there.
Get natural resist to ~5-6, depends if you need resist or not. It starts to diminish at lv 10.
(assuming you put 6 in NR)
1 point in Berserk, 1 point in BC, 1 in DT
You'll have 88 points left.
Stack on WW, SM, TM, and BO.
All will be maxed at lv 99, 8 points left.
You decide where to put them, either stack on Frw or resist.

(Since you have ITD from Arreat, no need to stack on D.throw for AR.)

Say you use double throw, and both javas have of quickness suffix. Do they +80% ias then? (I think they do~)

With Shaft:

Now, with a 160/60ias armor.
20 gloves, 40x2 Java, 60 armor = 160.

Sooo if you socket 40/15ias on 08 Arreat, you can throw at 4fpa~ (hopefully!)

That changed one of the sockets tho...
You might want to Ber the Shaft instead of Ber'ing Arreat.

Edit: Try to get 20% ias 6% life leech gloves, with resist or stats

I'd use a good cruel ethereal balrog blade/legend sword/col sword (adding ias suffixes where needed) if you can afford, they have low str reqs + good damage, perfect for a hybrid.

also cruel matriarchal javalins of quickness are the best possible damage javalins for a jabazon : )
atleast for 4 frame jab opposed to 4.5 (avg 160/60 20 ias glove/amulet ethereal ttian setup)

If you get hit with shield down ur dead tho, 3k life will drain fast with noblock 45dr

well in basically Any setup your'e going to be dead if you get hit without a shield , thats why r/w exists : )
