In the Red corner, equipped with Chozo Power Armor, complete with multi-beam arm cannon, missile launcher, morph ball, multi-visor helmet, grappling beam and much, much more! The star of the highly praised Metroid game series: Samus Aran!

In the Blue corner, standing at approximately 8 feet tall, armed with electronic, optical camouflage, shoulder-mounted energy cannon, wrist mounted spur-blades, telescoping hunting spear, multi-visor helmet and a ton of other kickass weaponry! The villain and namesake of the famous Predator movie series: The Predator!

Ding! Round one!

pretty hard choise but I choose predator
he can use cloaking and lock samus with his shoulder weapon, and whenever he's hurt he can heal himself with an knife-like thing thats inside his console on his arm. Another big + is that his entire race does nothing but hunting, so he has way more expierience and training and he looks much much more badass then samus

The Predator has weapons that could rip through or blow holes in her armor, heal himself, and recharge his power... plus the fact that he can cloak... so unless it's Samus with the visor upgrade from Metroid Prime she wouldn't even be able to see Predator. The only thing that dissuades me is the fact that Predator was defeated already by ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGAR.

I'm giving the vote to Samus on this one. Here's why:

#1 She is completely encapsulated in armor. Her armor is further protected by an energy field, hence her ability to absorb leftover energy from fallen enemies to heal herself. The Predator's shoulder cannon would damage her shields, but it wouldn't actually damage the suit. Because of these defenses, she has no obvious wekanesses. Predator has a lot of open area on his body.

#2 She has more versatile long-range weaponry. Power Beam doesn't work? Freeze his ass. Plasma beam not quite getting the job done? Fry his electronics with a Wave Beam. Skin too tough? Use missiles.

#3 Her X-Ray and Thermographic visors render his optical camouflage useless.

#4 The Predator's "first aid kit" takes time to use. And it doesn't "heal" him, it is simply a really neat looking wound care kit equipped with cauterization tools and pain killers.

#5 Samus has been hunting and killing things like the Predator for a long time. She's proven herself capable of taking on hordes of enemies without the need for stealth or secrecy.

The Predator would put up an entertaining fight, but he would just end up another corpse on the pile of enemies Samus has left in her wake.

It really depends. If it's the Predator from the video game, then definitely the Predator, because he has a dazzling array of weapons (Plasma pistol, remote bombs, net gun) but if it was the movie Predator then definitely that one because the only weapon it seems to have is the shoulder cannon. The video game Predator could cloak and use his remote bombs.

(Yes it's Predator from the video game because these are duels between video game characters.)

Initially, I would root for Samus and bet on Predator, but after considering her arsenal, I'm going to have to say definately Samus.

She does have more experience in the gaming industry than Predator. Correct me if I'm missing something, but she has 4 games as well as being a character in both Smash Brothers games.

As Raziel stated, she does have many, many weapons. Also, as stated in one of the Zelaron Battle introduction threads, Samus has all of her weapons from all games besides the special ones obtained at the end of a game.

Samus would simply overwhelm Predator with weaponry.

Samus has screw attack. Samus cannot be damaged by enemies while screw attacking. With space jump, Samus can screw attack indefinately. If screw attack can't kill Predator (screw attack can't kill Metroids, though it does make her invulnerable to them), she can screw attack untill a shot oportunity presents itself, shoot, then go back to screw attacking.

Also, why is Samus battling Predator? Did Turok bow out?

i choose predator i think that predator can defeat samus cause in my opinion the weapons and the technology of predator is more sofisticated than the samus technology
and besides the predator has this camouflage stuff and he can beat aliens and aliens i think they're hardest of hunt than samus
in my opinion predator knocks samus out

No matter how much Predator struggles, Samus easily beats the Predator in three categories; agility, defense and weaponry. After being struck twice by Predator without a scratch due to her Chozo Power Armor, she finishes the Alien series bad guy off with an excessively powerful direct hit from a missile.

I believe the screw attack/space jump combo completely nullifies this advantage. While Predator is camoflaged, Samus is screw attacking, period; any sane person in the same position would.

The Predator's camouflage is negated by Samus' X-Ray and Therm visors. She can either see his heat signature, or see through the camo with X-Ray.
