genisis is more like a one player game, like earth worm jim, or vectorman, nes and snes is VERY good in two player games, MK2 for snes.....the closest to the arcade (i tried to play the MK2 in saturn and it sucks)

I'd say the best fighting game system is the Dreamcast. It has all the games I mentioned in my list except Guilty Gear and lots more. Plus there is an snes emulator for it somewhere on the internet I think. The only bad thing about it is the controllers aren't that good, but you can just buy an arcade stick for it.

J_ice it's not true
Genesis owned! There was some 6 buttons control for genesis so dont pull the "there only 3 buttons" crap heh.

Here a few that quickly come to my mind.

Mortal Kombat 1,2,3
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Primal Rage
Fatal Fury 1-2
Samurai Shodown
Virtua Fighter 2
Street Fighter 2 Special Champion Edition
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament

Didn't know Genesis had those games. I liked everyone of them from that list except maybe Virtua Fighter...never really liked that series.

Yeah, genesis deserve more credit then it was given. Actualy all sega console deserve more credit then they are given. Genesis started as the competition of Nes and it stayed arround a while with the addition of the sega cd and 32x thing.

I never played that 32x but im sure it was good. As for saturn the problem was coding related the technology was 2 advanced for it's time and the games were impossible to code. There is no game that came close to pull 20% of the power that console had. it was like a mini xbox. It was impressive for when it came out. Dreamcast i wouldnt be able to tell. But i know Sega are quite good.

If anyone know some/all Phantasy star serie they are all made by Sega.

32x isn't a separate system, it slides into the genesis just like a game, then you stick a game in it, I've got one.
