Post My contribution to the forum!
Reply

Thought I'd contribute a bit with a current object in progress. A 4x4 I'm modeling for fun, and a change of scene from the turbo-prop racing blades I have been doing (they are at www.f-nine.co.uk under projects if anyone fancies agander).

Cheers

Definitely great stuff. Only the seats and tires need some (more) texturing.

They don't seem to have any material at all, just color, maybe a tiny bit of gloss.

nod, chruser, that's what i'm saying it's got the default material... change it, he's a great modeller (the tires can be changed too, need more defined edge, in other words, switch to maya :P)

Uh, and what can MAYA do about defined edges that LW can't?

From a purely aesthetic point of view, I would say to put some chrome on the front. Also, I'd put a something on the antenna... like a Jack in the Box head.... or my girlfriend has an alien head on hers.

So does LW, if you get a free plugin. The thing is, the LW workflow doesn't use edges.
