comparison...?

Sorry if this seems too complicated.

Could you give out a good comparison between RM2K3 and the newer one(s)??

I just feel like after I'm done with my first on RM2K3 that I'm ready for a "next step up" kinda thing. You know, bigger and better things.

So, I'd perfer a comparison to the newEST one, in the following if you don't mind.

programming difficulty -
(I heard rm2k3 is the easiest.)

game ability -
(rm2k3 is very similar to FFVI, so what's the newest like?)

sprite difficulty -
(rm2k3 takes forever, even at just editing...)

Programming - You can make a whole game without ever touching the RGSS in RMXP and RMVX.

Spriting - Is complicated anyway you look at it if your going at it from scratch. But the sprites are bigger in rmxp thus making them a little easier to edit.

Game Ability - Well, The bright side on RMXP is the fact that you can merge all the tilesets if you want to into one long tileset. There is no length limit, but there is a width limit. On RMVX your given the choice of the RTP and the ability to put anything on any layer as well as a 5th slot for a custom tileset. Now, The RMXP DBS isn't very good, although some people do like it.

VX has a chibi feel to it, I would go with XP.

Alright. Thanks dude, that was pretty good summary. ( although I am a bit of the Chibi fan) I'll take your advice and go with XP when I'm done with this project.
But untile I get those extra sprites and system, I can't do much more...

Chibi is the wrong term, the correct term is SD (Super Deformed).

Anyways, you can't sum the games up like that. Each one has a better and worse feature on it.

RMXP - Make all of the events yourself
RMVX - Has a quick event maker (Treasure chests, etc)

RMXP - No using boats, airplanes, and blimps
RMVX - You can use them with great ease

RMXP - Has a ton a lag
RMVX - Reduced lag dramatically

RMXP - Unlimited Size Tilesets
RMVX - Ultra Limited Size Tilesets and only 2-layers

RMXP - RGSS
RMVX - RGSS2

These are only a few of the comparisons between the two game makers.

Personally, I like RMVX better because I've been using the RPG Maker Programs since 1997 and this is the first time they've made the premade events part of the system which is extremely handy. I dislike that you're limited on tileset size, however it is easier for me to create a game because I'm not always looking around for the material I'm going to use. Instead it is already right in front of me.

Think about it more before deciding.

Work List
疲れていますから 寝むってありますね。 むずかしいです。 また、ケーキ屋で ケーキを食べていました。

I've considered being a translator, but I dunno. It feels like a lot of work. If someone gets angry then I have to deal with it, you know? I'd rather just relax.
