You tell me everything
That goes through your mind.
But everything you say
Seems to be so shallow
And focused only on yourself.
I understand sometimes
What you are saying,
But nothing else
Can I see your views on.
You’re so worried about being pretty
In the eyes of a cruel, unfair world.
And your impatience to find love
Sometimes makes me flush with anger.
I don’t care how the world sees me,
Although sometimes I do wonder.
Nor do I think I’ll ever find Love.
You’re much prettier than me,
Even if you do always deny it.
But I can tell
By the way you say it
That you know that it’s true.
I know that I sometimes seem
Unemotional and mean.
But you on the other hand,
Can be emotional enough
For the both of us.
Sometimes it’s hard to see
How we could ever be related,
Much less be sisters.
Every once in a while, however,
There is a special connection.
There are times when we just
Understand each other,
And we truly get along.
And during these times
My dear sister,
I’m glad that you’re around.
