Boy defends mother with jedi weapon

An 11-year-old boy has used a toy lightsabre to chase off a man who abused his mother in an English village. The man, believed to be in his 30s, verbally abused and punched the boy's mother, provoking the Star Wars-style attack, British newspaper The Sun reported. The man fled shortly after the boy defended his mother. The attack occurred as the boy and his mother walked to their car outside a bakery in Swardeston, Norfolk.

"The incident caused quite a commotion and it is unlikely it would have gone unnoticed," Allan Jennings of the local police said.
