I attempted to take it, but my browser couldn't find the apple quicktime plugin. Then I manually installed quicktime but still no luck.

You don't need quicktime, just a plugin to play mp3s. What browser and OS? It was tested on Mac, PC, and iPad, on IE, FF, Safari, and Chrome, using both Quicktime and Windows media

I'm using FF on Windows 7 Premium. I'll look for an mp3 plugin.

Quick time or Windows Media Player should do it.

This should be fixed for FireFox.
