Yeah as you can see the inside is all weird, thats was there for temp... I have done the inside 5 times, and I end up messing it up. I am getting good experience from it tho
Lookin good so far, remember to keep things in quads! Oh wait... You have no choice, you're using LW pwned
Uh, actually, you can make an ear entirely out of quads in LW. My favourite way to do so is to make polygons to fit the revolving ear shapes with the pen tool, bevel it out and rotate it around. A bunch of those segments can then be merged together using the merge points tool.
Triangles look bad in subpatches when they intersect at odd angles. It's kind of like making a non-planar quad polygon, but really, it doesn't matter too much eventually. You can always change the subpatch setting to show how many polygons to display.

I know it's actually best to use quads in any situation, they deform much better during animation and are much easier on the hands when doing UV layout. BUT it's always good to be versatile

in reply to Acer's post "Ear in LW"
I have been busy lately so I went and took time out and worked on it more, there is a part the looks pinched I need to smooth out, and some other stuff.
EDIT: I forgeting to lower the res for render for the one I upload here... sorry
