Exclamation Fate

Go download and try this game. Its like diablo 2 but brand new. Its a pretty fun game and a lot of people are catching on. Its not multiplayer but that does not matter too much. There are even people at Blizzard who are now "addicted" to this game, which says a lot since most of the games inspiration came from Diablo.

Get the game demo here: http://fatethegame.com/ (Download the broadband one).

Say I'm a lazy consumer who can't be bothered to find out what it is about.

In as few words as possible how would you sell the game to me and make sure I get it??

It's not bad, but the demo is like an hour tops...

I guess you could play through it twice and go melee once and magic once, but that's not too much expansion.

Retail's $20, right?

I made a dual wield sword guy. It was pretty nice because I got crits twice as often it seemed. I don't think a shield is worth the tradeoff.

I'll probably make a mage and play through the demo again if I have some free time tonight.

I'd buy it, but I'm going to go pick up BF2 either today or tomorrow, and I don't like to throw too much money at entertainment all at once.

What's the difference on Legendary? Is it just monster difficulty, or do you get better rewards/exp? Or are they worse?

BF2 wont even work on my pc. I tried downloading the demo, my card isent supported. I have a geforce 4 ti 4800 (Its always been a good card till this game).

Legendary mode is best to play at. All the dungeon monsters are like 1-5 levels ahead of you. On easy mode you are often fighting like monsters your own level or slightly below, on legendary they are higher. Plus you see harder monsters sooner so you will see vampires on like level 3 or 4 whearas on easy you wont see them till like level 8 or something (So you also get better loot or you have better chances for better advanced loot). Also when you get really deep you see hard monsters that never even appear on easy mode. Theres some other extra things about legendary mode like that, but its generally more fun because its a bit more difficult and you have to plan a bit more.

It's actually pretty fun.

The imbude system is pretty sweet, and the dungeon creeping style is done well. I like the "deep ass dungeon" style of dungeon crawling.

There are some major things that need to be addressed, though, one of them being the 2nd option of reviving: Costs 10% of your gold and transports you to a random nearby level. You can have little gold on you and use this method to teleport down in the dungeon easily. You can also use it for money when you start a new character. Go deep into the dungeon and collect very expensive items from chests, and then use a town portal spell and sell your ph4t l3wt before actually starting the game.

I guess you can just choose not to exploit it, but why would you do that?
