I've been trying to find a way to hook up my Tv to my computer and use it was my monitor, but I can't find any cables that look like they would work. Does anyone know what I would need to do this?

You need a video card with tv out... almost all the new video cards have it...

The only way i can think of is if you upgrade your computer, and puit a new vid card in it. You might have to upgrade the processor if its THAT old of a piece of shit computer.

You can buy a signal converter. It's not just a cable. If your vid card doesn't have TV out, you'll need a box.

Well you see, the driver code for video cards will only work on proccessors so far back. You're not going to be able to run a Radeon 9600 on a 486 rig, because the drivers are definately going to require a Pentium, if not a Pentium 2.

Even if you had a pII, it STILL wouldn't run at what it should because the processor can't keep up with card, you would probably have to upgrade your ram too.

Bryan, what I recommend is Either buy a new video card with tv out, (get the appropirate cables) , and rig it up. Because besides that, theres no real way that you can rig it up without building new stuff, which is a complete waste of time.

if you have a low budget then go to radioshack or something.. get a box (if they still sell them) that box conects to vga out on your motherboard and has a video output for a tv.. then you are set.. if they still sellit it will cost you around 15 dollars
