Post pop-ups

I keep getting popups while not even on the internet. They're not like the pop-ups you get from websites, they're more like when you get an error or something from windows. I probably downloaded soemthing accidently. It's really annoying because all these porn ads always pop up. Is there any way to block them?

My router blocks em.... Including ftp, webserver, pings, etc, unfortuneately even after I turn the dmz off.
So I dont have any problem with that.
But anyway, this one geeky bastard found out how to sell this spam technique to companies. I lost the link though.
It uses Windows Messenger service. To get rid of it, just get linux, or Lindows I hear is good for people who cant learn Linux.

Maybe tonight we'll fly so far away... We'll be lost before the dawn...

www.lavasoftusa.com for Ad-Aware

And to get rid of messenger pop-ups...

Start -> Control Panel -> Admin Tools -> Services
Disable Messenger in there. Won't hurt MSN if you have it installed.
