It is easy, just get LW, and start looking at http://members.shaw.ca/lightwavetutorials/Main_Menu.htm and go from the basics, ask questions, etc. I been useing LW for a week now :P

well if you were in real 3d production you'd know why we won't want to talk about it! i dunno i just don't like it... but i have to admit that LW is actually used alot in real 3d production (not movies tho... stupid custom packages )

Knowing how to use LW, Maya, XSI, 3Dsmax is helpful to learn those custom packages quicker.
