The original is still the best, but Sonic Advance 1 and 2 are great as well. Heck, they're all good.

S&K, it was amazingly fun in two-player mode, combined with Sonic 3.

There was a cheat to let you play knuckles in Sonic 2, it was awesome. They even had a special area in a level that only Knuckles could reach.

Out of all the Sonic game it'd sorta be a tie between Sonic 3/Knuckles and Sonic 2... I really loved the level edit cheat with Sonic 2... it was really fun to mess with.
