Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted recently, but I have been very tied up with work, school, and preparation for the LSAT (4 days from now)!
Thanks for the advice on how to fix my bug. Unfortunately, I had already checked/tried all of those ideas, and I decided to just use the default "Run" command. It won't really affect gameplay that much anyhow. Anyway, I finally finished the game and it's online now. You can get it HERE.
I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed making it. I think I really pushed the capabilities of RPG Maker 2003 to their limits. I hope you will agree.

BlueCube: You really seem to know what you're doing! I am taking a class in C++ programming right now, and I plan to work on an RPG creation engine similar to RPG Maker. Do you have any experience with C++ and if so, would you be willing to lend your expertise to this project? I would like to design it such that you may use the top-down birds-eye view on some maps, while using a first-person perspective in others (dungeons, for instance). It would be used to create games similar to Ultima: Quest of the Avatar and Legacy of the Ancients. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

Sorry about the download speed! A friend of mine (who also happens to teach the programming class I'm taking) is hosting the game on his server. In other words, it's not a commercial server so you can't expect spectacular bandwidth. Sorry!

Ha, you even remembered the Hall Of Giants in the Earth Cave (is it bad that I'm looking for things like this instead of playing the game? Meh)

I, GARLAND, WILL KNOCK YOU ALL DOWN! Got this game when it first came out, always went Fighter/Thief/RedMage/BlackMage

As to C++, the most I can do with that is some very simple text manipulation - I'm a VB guy, heh.

If it's any indication, I kept reaching for my emulator keys (to speed up everything, heh) because I'm used to doing that. I'm not quite sure why the EXP is handed the way it is, but maybe I'm just overlooking something since it's nearly midnight..
