Well as many of you know i just got my knew hard drive. I installed it and was on windows xp and everything was going fine. i install my creative audigy platinum driver and right before it installs it says that there is another audio driver on this comp and having 2 could cause problems. I go on kazaa and dl some songs. some songs work great and then some sound really wierd and then after about 20 secs it turns into this god awful earsplitting noise that makes u want to cut off your ears and eat them. Anyways, it's not good. I got so damn frustrated i reformatted and tryed going to my device manager and uninstalling all the audio things. I did this, installed my soundblaster card and STILL got that message that says theres 2 audio things. all deleting them did was mess up alot of stuff and i finally fixed it all by having it install again when the pc loads up. well went on kazaa and got the same result. if i fix this problem my comp is complete and i will be eternally in debt. THANX!!

Er, does your motherboard have onboard audio, and if so have you already disabled it as you should?

Also, it's only some songs that are messed up? Do you have any other problems other then that?

That's not your sound card, dumbass. That's Kazaa, and the RIAA. Stop downloading from Kazaa.

Yeah, the RIAA Is going around corrupting files, it's a loud screeching noise, what I did is I used a sound editor and edited it out, they didn't actually do anything to the song, they just put that bullshit in it. What you can do is try to download a song from one person with not too much stuff, they RIAA infects the songs that have 12+ users to them.

Hehe, yeah, if it's just some songs off of Kazaa that are screwed up but you have no other problems then that's the most likely explanation.

And to be 100% sure, you disabled it in both spots in the BIOS right? =)
