Came into work today and found out 7 people got laid off on 1st shift. Including administrative personnel and people who have worked here for over 15 years. One of them had been working here 24!
I'm betting they'll lay off some 2nd shift people also, so I'm wondering about my job security.
:Edit:
This is a strange day. There's no music playing like there normally is, I hear no sound, everyone is quiet. Employees are receiving phone calls from the people who were laid off, I can only here one end of the conversation but it's very depressing...

Sounds like my job. People have been getting laid off left and right and I'm supposed to know whether or not they're getting rid of the copy center come January 1st. So, hopefully they keep it.
If I were you, I'd be out looking for another job just in case.

We've been on a hiring freeze almost all year. It now sounds like they may consider cutting back 'expenses', which in turn could lead up to employees. I am not worried though.
Hope all goes well Spector, I'd keep an eye out for a new job as well, atleast be ready for it, you know?
