What you think of them?

I think they shouldn't be wasting money, but hey thats just me. I really have nothing against them. I had a few of them on my buddy list. Now its down to one >_<

I've done it before like years ago, but now I've figured out how to trade good and I can pretty much build characters at my pleasure. Ebayers are the noobs, that go around calling everyone that doesn't have all perfect items noobs.

Pay for something that does not really exist? No, thank you.

I don't have anything against players that do that but part of the game that has always been challenging is trying to trade/obtain that item you really need. But like anything else, if there is a need there will be a way to obtain something - Ebay included.

You're paying for a service, the service of getting the item(s) for you, not the item itself really. In fact, I'm no lawyer but if it was actually "selling" the item itself, Blizzard might potentially have grounds to sue some of the larger places that sell those things. (would they bother? who knows? who cares?)

I personally am against paying someone else to play the game for me. In fact once I pay for the game I really don't want to have to be paying more to play the dumb thing (one reason I unfortunately will never play WoW, Neverwinter Nights, etc).

I find Ebaying kind of silly and the people who do that don't have much respect in my book really because you're essentially buying your way into a level you yourself did not attain by actually playing the game (then again the real world works like that sometimes). Yes you can have all the posts about skill and strategy and the builds, but when it comes down to it for most cases its going to depend on your gear. Just buying the gear online kind of defeats the purpose because you're really reducing the game from what it is, a big treasure hunt and seeing who got the coolest stuff, to who dropped the most cash to some fat, lonely guy who runs bots all day with pickit, etc and can't get a girl without giving his credit card number first.

Yeah those guys you pay? Those tend to be the worst of the idiots who will run around stealing all your drops or running through the open games to find one and pk you over that anni so you can buy it all back from them with real cash. I'd rather play my own game and not reward morons like that thanks.

You pay to go see movies, don't you? All your paying for is the permission to go watch a bunch of light beams hit a large white wall.

Oh, and slaynish, don't advertise websites.

An opinion was asked for...I gave it. You're welcome to yours as well and are free to live your life how you want to. If you'd like to hate me for my opinion (and hate is indeed a strong word) I really can't stop you. It has nothing to do with grudges its just the way I feel.

EDIT: That being said I think your opinion is a bit biased given your position of making money off "ebayers". I think Sov was more asking about how players (ebayers or not) felt...not the vendors who are making money though I could be wrong.

when you say taco do you mean Taco X? the same bastard who DDOS Zelaron?
and my take on ebayers is that i dont really mind them because most of the time they dont have the skills to go with the items so i own them EZ anyway. While i personally have never bought items off of ebay i could see that it would be convienent if I were to start over from scratch to just go out and buy all of my items and a rush for the sake of saving a shit load of time. Personally I never got a thrill out of the endless hours that i put in MFing to find Mediocre items. Botting would have made my life tremendously simpler but i only have one phone line so i could never bot.

I dont have anything against ebayers. I looked at probable cons and pros of ebaying. For me a pro might be that their not using up their time by manually mfing for items which can take months to get, such as the high level runes legitly. That time better spent working or going out. Cons are a lot, ppl dont have respect for them cos they did not work hard for wat they got and they can also be idiots etc...
