Isn't it just a remake of a some show made around the 70's?

I beleive its a remake of a old movie. I mean, I really didn't care to see it but I had nothing to do and it was the only movie I havent seen that was playing around the time I wanted to see a movie. So me and my friend went in and saw it, and I enjoyed it. I mean, it isnt anything special but it entertains
